The businesses that have prospered in the past are the ones that are looking over the horizon. It is a no brainer for me that we should start to think local- making our local communities 'richer' and more resourceful. Through the work I do with Housing Associations I am impressed by how much good work is going in to creating local community organisation and resourcefullness in cities across the UK, in some of the poorest areas. We are capable of tackling this but personal denial about man made climate change is one of the biggest threats we have to overcome. Unfortunately people are not physiologically quipped to respond to slowly evolving threats.
